Outdoor distance meter
I have a Leica laser meter, one of those where you look at the price tag and it scares you. But they have a problem: for outdoor measurements, curves, and uneven terrain, they’re nothing but headaches and complications!
Because of this, when you look for something technically professional for outdoor measurements, you end up moving to equipment aimed at surveyors, which is quite expensive. The solution… the MOASURE meter!
Moasure measures curves and slopes both indoors and outdoors very easily, with professional accuracy and at an affordable price. We couldn’t ask for more!
The distinguishing feature of this device is that it has a different approach, measurements are taken by movement based on a sensor. To better understand it, I leave you a video from ComunicARQ where they show in detail how this tool works:
The Moasure presents the perfect, simple, and useful option for measuring outdoor distances accurately
How does this meter work for outdoor or indoor use?
- Sensor device to capture measurements. On one hand, we have a sensor, which fits in the hand, which is responsible for taking measurements as we move from one point to another. It has the option of a “stick”, a tripod for the technician’s convenience.
- Data transmission to the software. The sensor traces the position and calculates the relevant dimensions (distances, but also; height, slope, or angle) that are sent to the program integrated into a tablet or mobile.
- Automatic plan creation. The software is responsible for representing the drawing. A fully dimensioned 2D plan that can even be viewed in 3D.
- Relevant adjustments by the technician. The user makes the necessary changes to the plan represented in the program; add dimensions, remove, verify information, manage layers, annotations, etc.
Another interesting topic is that it does not depend on GPS, whether there is light or not, or the mobile signal, it works via Bluetooth!. Remember, there are also mobiles with thermal camera and laser meter.
What can you do with the Moasure meter? There are a lot of functions that make it a perfect work tool:
- Perform all kinds of measurements both indoors and outdoors, whether linear distances or curves, arcs, or circles (Of interest, a small laser meter almost perfect).
- Visualization of plans according to measurements in 2D and 3D.
- Calculation of area, perimeters, and height dimensions.
- Creation of layers to differentiate elements or measurements. Identification tags/notes can be added for greater usability.
- Export of plans and measurement data from the software in common formats such as DXF, PDF, PNG, SVG, or CSV
But… What reliability does the measurement data provide? It has a 0.5% error in single-dimension measurements: in a length of 4 meters +/- 2cm, quite accurate when we talk about outdoors. Directly, you have no excuses for not having detailed measurements of the work, the garden, or whatever you are thinking about.
The Moasure is not a typical laser device, it goes much further and is easy to use
The device has different awards, including the best startup at CES in Las Vegas. It can be purchased from the official Spanish page of Moasure HERE.
